Capacity and recharge
Normal capacity = Relay level + one charge if Jump Calibration is at least rank 3 + another if it is rank 5. The Relay starts at L1 with one charge. Paid or earned bonus charges can exceed normal capacity and are not discarded by a Relay upgrade. A damaged or destroyed Relay can block normal use.
| Relay L | Calibration 0–2 | Calibration 3–4 | Calibration 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 2 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
| 3 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
| 5 | 5 | 6 | 7 |
| 10 | 10 | 11 | 12 |
| 20 | 20 | 21 | 22 |
Solar Reactor recharge time
A full-health level-1 Solar Reactor recharges a Hyperspace Charge in 30 minutes. Each additional Reactor level cuts 30 seconds from that starting time, down to a 3-minute minimum. Reactor damage can slow charging. Reactor Overdrive research improves recharge speed by 2% per rank, Alliance Hyperspace Cartography by 3% per level, and the campaign Hyperlane Beacon by 1% per level. A controlled sector can add another bonus.
Other charge sources
Every 1,000 eligible base Ore from the Faucet, PTC, Shortlinks or Offerwalls unlocks one claimable charge. Charges also appear in some Battle Pass and shop rewards. These grants can exceed the normal recharge cap.
